48Hours '07
It's that time of year again, folks.
Well, not quite. Not for another four months.
As we will (hopefully) have a bunch of new people reading this thanks to our newsletter, I would like to first warn you that I am lazy, and very little of the site is operational. Beyond some bios on the 'Team' page, an FAQ, a mailing list, and our forum, there's not a lot here. So don't be suprised if things don't go right if you start clicking other buttons. The forum is the place to be. Go there.
Now, to business.
I was up late last night (and turned up to work an hour late because of it, so listen well) analysing what went wrong and right last year, and how we're going to improve both the quality of the film and the quality of the experience. Which means to say I watched the behind the scenes footage over and over, laughing my ass off. Best weekend of the year.
By the way, the weekend dates this year is May 18th to 20th.
This year we're aiming to be a bit more streamlined, so everyone is always involved, and doesn't have to go play basketball at the back of the hall. The hall, incidently, will not be the meet point this year - we will hopefully be relocating to the Youthtown lodge on Nelson St in the city. It has beds. Yay.
If you're interested, shoot me or Johnathan an email at nick@halcyon-entertainment.com or johnathan@halcyon-entertainment.com
More information forthcoming as we start planning.
Looking forward to working with you again this year, guys.
It'll be bigger, better, have more V, better gear (see: my new $13,000 camera), have beds, less sleep (heheheh), and we might just make a good film at the end of it all.
Thanks everyone.
Also, we might even have the '06 DVD ready in time for this year's competition.
Hah.
Cheeers,
Nick
